A native of Columbia, Maryland, Dr. Wheatley has been a resident of Georgia since 1974.  After graduating from Georgia Southern with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education, she obtained her MD from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  Dr. Wheatley completed her OB/GYN residency at Atlanta Medical Center (formerly Georgia Baptist).  She is certified by the American Board of OB/GYN and is a Fellow in the American College of OB/GYN.  Because of her strong emphasis is surgery, she is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  

 

Dr. Wheatley believes strongly in continuing medical education and belongs to the Medical Associations of Georgia and Atlanta, the Georgia and Atlanta OB/GYN Societies, and the American Association of GYN Laparoscopists.  She is dedicated to quality patient care and open dialogue.  Her open door philosophy welcomes patients and their families to engage in optimum communication.  She is on the active staff at North Fulton Regional Hospital and maintains courtesy privileges only at Northside Hospital.
